lyrics
Move on up,
A Cassanova,
That's you,
In your stride and with a strut to cut too,
Feelin' tough a-yeah yeah!
Turn around
You got somewhere to get to
Never ever mindin' whatcha been through
You find yourself, A yeah yeah
When it feels like something you've been holdin' onto's
disappearin' and you're movin' on too
She returns a-well-well…
And you feel the passion that once inside you fill you up and then she turns to kiss you, hand caressin' your hair
When it starts, it plays upon your mind
Sabotage, defeat that you designed
Anything you do will always feel ill-timed,
Poisoned by a product you designed
(No you can't say no, When it moves too slow)
A self-fulfilling prophecy will curse you,
Who's the one that you behave the worst to?
Well, you don't wanna go there…
When there's an objective that you gotta meet too
Soon that thing is gonna have to meet you
and stare you down a-yeah-yeah
When you feel like somethin' that was gunna happen,
feels uncertain and go to meet her,
she tellysa no a-there-there
And the love you felt was holding you together,
splits in two and then you feel the weather,
rain assaulting your head.
When it starts, it plays upon your mind
Sabotage, defeat that you designed
Anything you do will always feel ill-timed,
Poisoned by a product you designed
(No you can't say no, When we move too slow)
(Why's it take so long? When did we go...)
Bridge
Her darkest days,
self-esteem that will receive anybody
Beg you to stay,
but she will leave ya to be seen at the party
She paints her face, pretty picture to deceive everybody
She lights your way…
Ooo-Woah-oooo ...
When it starts, it plays upon your mind
Sabotage, defeat that you designed
Anything you do will always feel ill-timed,
Poisoned by a product you designed
(No you can't say no, When we move too slow)
(Why's it take so long? When did we go wrong)

Everytime I hear this album I groove like a tiny dancing Pomeranian getting a haircut. Anyone that hears this will definitely get blessed and funkified from the great Vulf. musicandmyth

I spent my New Year's hangover listening to "Sky Mall" on repeat, when I discovered my new favorite bass player. "Fugue State" is what you get if the Muscle Shoals musicians took a break to noodle around on Bach and eventually became my wake-up alarm. "First Place" reminds me of that scene in "Clerks" where Randal walks into the adult video store. t0cktock
